Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis (a condition where the pancreas becomes inflamed), confirmed using specific medical guidelines

  • You are allergic to aspirin, anti-inflammatory painkillers (such as ibuprofen), paracetamol, or metamizole
  • You have inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis)
  • You have bleeding in your stomach or gut, or any other active bleeding
  • You have stomach or duodenal ulcers
  • You regularly take paracetamol, anti-inflammatory painkillers, or metamizole on an ongoing basis
  • You have liver failure
  • You have heart failure of a moderate to severe level (confirm with trial site)
  • You have kidney failure, whether sudden or long-term
  • You have cancer
  • Your parent or legal guardian has not agreed to you taking part
  • You are 16 or older and have not given your own agreement to take part
