Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who developed aphasia (a condition affecting communication) as a result of a single event, such as a stroke affecting the left side of the brain or a traumatic brain injury.
• People who are at least six months past the point when their aphasia began.
• People who were proficient English speakers before their diagnosis.
• People whose hearing and vision are either normal or corrected to normal using hearing aids or glasses.
• People with no history of conditions such as dementia, severe speech movement difficulties, significant mental illness, psychiatric disorders, drug or alcohol misuse, or other neurological conditions that could affect thinking, language, or memory.

Who may not be able to join:

• People with a history of conditions such as dementia, severe speech movement difficulties, significant mental illness, psychiatric disorders, drug or alcohol misuse, or other neurological conditions that could affect thinking, language, or memory.
• Children and young people under the age of 18.
• Adults over the age of 89.
• People with hearing or vision difficulties that cannot be corrected with hearing aids or glasses.
