Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 to 65 years
- People with a confirmed diagnosis of a specific type of blood cancer called diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), who have not yet received any treatment for it
- People at any stage of this disease, whether it has affected lymph nodes or other parts of the body, with or without symptoms such as fever, night sweats, or weight loss
- People who are scheduled to receive a standard chemotherapy treatment called R-CHOP
- People who are reasonably well and able to carry out daily activities (this is measured on a medical scale from 0 to 2, where 0 means fully active and 2 means able to care for oneself but unable to work)
- People whose blood counts, liver and kidney function, urine tests, heart scan, and hepatitis virus tests are all within normal ranges before the trial starts
- People who, if there are signs of possible infection, have had further tests to rule it out (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had, or currently have, any other type of cancer
- People whose DLBCL has come back after treatment or has stopped responding to treatment
- People with uncontrolled diabetes
- People with autoimmune diseases (conditions where the immune system attacks the body)
- People with an active infection at the time of joining
- People with ongoing or long-term inflammatory conditions
- People with heart problems affecting heart function
- People with liver failure
- People who are pregnant
