Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have had any cold symptoms in the past month, such as a sore throat, sneezing, runny nose, blocked nose, general tiredness, or a cough.
  • You currently have, or show signs of, allergic rhinitis (hay fever-type symptoms), sinus problems, or nasal polyps.
  • You have been diagnosed with, or have a history of, COPD, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, or bronchiectasis (other serious lung conditions).
  • You have any other past or current medical condition that, in the doctor's opinion, could put you at risk, affect the trial results, or affect your ability to take part — including any history of visiting an emergency room or being admitted to hospital because of a common cold.
  • You currently smoke or vape, or you stopped smoking within the last 12 months, or you have a significant long-term smoking history (more than 5 pack-years) (confirm with trial site); current vapers may be eligible if they are willing to stop before the trial begins.
