Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women aged 18 or older
- People who have been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, or who have been identified as high risk for breast cancer (for example, those with BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutations)
- People who have been assessed as suitable candidates for a type of mastectomy that preserves the nipple (called Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy)
- People who are able to give informed consent to participate

- People who have had previous breast surgery

- People with nerve conditions that may affect normal skin sensation
- People whose cancer has been found to involve the nipple — either before or during surgery (in such cases, the treating surgeon would convert the procedure to a different type of mastectomy)
