  • You are 40 years old or older
  • You have leg artery disease that causes rest pain or small sores/wounds on your foot or toes (known as Rutherford category 4 or 5)
  • Imaging has shown that you have blocked or narrowed arteries in the lower part of your leg, below the knee

Who may not be able to join:

  • You do not wish to take part in the study
  • Your artery blockages are only in the upper leg or knee area, with no involvement of the arteries below the knee
  • During your procedure, a sudden blood clot forms, or the artery is seriously damaged or torn in the lower leg arteries below the knee
