Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 40 and 69 years old
- People whose heart is pumping blood normally (a heart function measurement called ejection fraction must be above 50%)
- People who do not have blocked or narrowed heart arteries, and do not have a serious heart valve problem
- People who do not have fatty build-up in the arteries of the neck (carotid plaques)
- People who are willing to take part in the research
- People who are at least 15 months past their breast cancer surgery
- People who are able to read, understand, and complete questionnaires and tests without difficulty
- People who do less than 60 minutes of structured, planned exercise per week (considered physically inactive)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who currently have an active infection
- People who have had cancer in both breasts
- People who have a history of surgery, nerve-related, or bone and joint problems (unrelated to breast cancer surgery) that affect how the arm and shoulder work
- People who have a neurological condition or other diagnosed condition that may affect memory or thinking ability
- People who had poor heart function, or serious liver or kidney problems before starting chemotherapy
- People who have muscle or joint conditions, nerve conditions, heart symptoms, previous lung surgery, or another cancer that could affect their ability to exercise
- People who have high blood pressure or diabetes that is not well controlled
