Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged between 18 and 70 years old

  • People who have been found through imaging scans (such as breast ultrasound or mammography) to have a suspected breast lump rated as BI-RADS Category 4C or Category 5 (confirm with trial site if unsure what category applies)

  • People whose breast lump has grown into the nipple, the darker skin around the nipple (areola), or the tissue just under the skin
  • People who are pregnant at the time of diagnosis
  • People who have significant problems with the heart, lungs, liver, or kidneys, or who have poorly controlled diabetes, making surgery unsafe
  • People who the trial researchers consider unsuitable to participate for any other reason
