Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 45 years old or older at the time of joining the trial
- You are scheduled to have, or have had within the last 30 days, a procedure to open up a blocked blood vessel in your leg or pelvis (called a peripheral vascular intervention)
- Your medical data is being shared with a specific data registry system used by this trial
- You have been diagnosed with narrowing or blockage of blood vessels caused by plaque buildup (a condition called atherosclerotic vascular disease)
Who may not be able to join:
- You are not able to give your own consent to participate in the trial
- You are allergic to the blood-thinning medication clopidogrel (Plavix)
- You cannot stop taking clopidogrel for medical reasons
- You are taking a combination of low-dose rivaroxaban (2.5mg twice daily) with another blood thinner and cannot stop these medications
- You are allergic to aspirin
- Your blood vessel disease is caused by something other than plaque buildup
- You are having open surgery on your blood vessels at the same time as the minimally invasive procedure
- You have a high risk of serious bleeding, which includes any of the following: a history of major bleeding, a bleeding disorder, severely reduced kidney function, currently taking blood thinners, or a low platelet count (confirm with trial site)
- You have had a stroke within the last 6 months
- You are currently taking warfarin or a full-dose blood-thinning medication (such as apixaban or rivaroxaban at full doses)
- You are unwilling or unable to attend regular follow-up appointments as required by the trial
- You are currently pregnant
- You are currently incarcerated
