Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer (a specific type called adenocarcinoma) that was confirmed by a tissue biopsy, was contained to the prostate area, and you have already had surgery to remove the prostate (radical prostatectomy).
- At least ONE of the following applies to you: (1) your surgical results showed certain concerning features, such as cancer cells at the edge of what was removed, cancer that had spread beyond the prostate capsule, or a high aggressiveness score (Gleason 8–10 or tertiary grade 5); OR (2) your PSA blood test has been rising on at least two separate tests and is above 0.03 ng/mL; OR (3) a genetic test of your tumor tissue (called a Decipher score) showed intermediate or high risk; OR (4) cancer was found in one or more lymph nodes during your surgery.
- You have had a CT scan and an MRI of the pelvis within the last 120 days before joining the trial (exceptions may apply if you cannot have an MRI — confirm with trial site).
- If your PSA level is above 1.0 ng/mL, you have had a bone scan or a similar imaging study within the last 120 days.
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You are in reasonably good general health and are able to carry out daily activities (confirm with trial site).
- You are able to understand and willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have cancer that has spread to distant parts of your body (metastases).
- Your prostate cancer is a rare type called neuroendocrine or small cell carcinoma.
- You have previously had radiation therapy to your pelvic area.
- You have a history of Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, or a condition called Ataxia Telangiectasia.
