Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a man or woman aged 18 or older
- You are in good general health with no significant past illnesses
- You have been diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia (a common type of hair loss also known as male or female pattern baldness)
- You are able to understand the study and are willing to give your formal agreement to take part
- You are willing and able to attend follow-up appointments during the study
Who may not be able to join:
- You are under 18 years old
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- Your hair loss is caused by scarring, a skin condition (such as certain inflammatory skin diseases), chemical or physical damage, or any reason other than pattern baldness
- You have significant scarring in the area of the scalp that would be treated
- You have significant open wounds or skin sores in the area to be treated
- You have any metal implants in your head
- You have a diagnosed mental health condition such as psychosis or a body image disorder
- You have used certain medications — including isotretinoin, retinoids, blood thinners (coumarins or heparins), or certain psychiatric medications — in the last 2 weeks (confirm with trial site)
- You have had certain skin resurfacing treatments on the affected area within the last 2 months or plan to during the study (confirm with trial site)
- You have a tendency to develop excessive or abnormal scarring (such as keloid scars)
- You are unwilling or unable to provide formal consent to participate and agree to data protection terms
