You are between 18 and 80 years old
You have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease recently (within the last 18 months), have never been treated with biological medicines or similar advanced treatments, and do not have complications such as abnormal tunnels between organs (fistulas) or narrowing of the bowel (strictures)
You are due to start treatment with a medicine called vedolizumab within one month of having a bowel camera test (endoscopy) and a bowel ultrasound scan

Who may not be able to join:

You cannot take vedolizumab for any reason, such as having an allergy to it, an active infection including tuberculosis, serious heart failure, a nervous system condition involving damage to nerve coverings, a live vaccine in the last 3 months, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
You have had a large portion of your large bowel removed, are planned to have your large bowel removed soon, or have a history of abnormal cell changes in the lining of your large bowel (confirm with trial site)
You have an allergy or sensitivity to the ingredients in a type of ultrasound dye called SonoVue, which is used during scans in this study
