- People who have been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) based on having at least two of the following: irregular or absent ovulation, signs of higher-than-normal male hormones (either through symptoms or blood tests), or an ultrasound showing a specific pattern of small cysts on the ovaries
