Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • Your doctor suspects you may have Crohn's Disease, with or without symptoms of a blockage in your gut
  • You have had a camera examination of your large bowel (colonoscopy) that came back either normal or showed only mild, non-specific signs of inflammation
  • You are willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have already been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease
  • Your colonoscopy showed active diverticular disease, bowel cancer, ulcerative colitis, or a type of colitis caused by infection or visible only under a microscope
  • You have tested positive for certain gut infections (including harmful bacteria, Yersinia, parasites, C. difficile, or Giardia) in the 6 months before the study's camera capsule test
  • You are known to have a blockage in your intestines, or it has not been confirmed that your small bowel is clear enough for a camera capsule to pass through safely
  • You have taken anti-inflammatory painkillers (such as ibuprofen or similar medicines called NSAIDs) in the 4 weeks before either bowel camera test in the study
  • You have a known condition affecting how your gut moves food through your system
  • You are known or suspected to have slow stomach emptying
  • You have difficulty swallowing
  • You have an allergy, intolerance, or other medical reason preventing you from using the medicines or devices involved in this study
  • You require the camera capsule to be placed by a doctor using an endoscope rather than swallowing it yourself (confirm with trial site)
  • You have any condition that would make it difficult to follow the study requirements
  • You are pregnant
  • You are currently taking part in another clinical trial involving experimental medicines or devices
  • You have a serious, life-threatening condition at the same time
  • You have significantly reduced kidney function (confirm with trial site)
  • You are unable to sign the consent form
