Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Adults aged 18 years or older
  • People with no diagnosis of glaucoma or high eye pressure (for the healthy control group)
  • People who have been diagnosed with a form of glaucoma or high eye pressure and have been using glaucoma eye drops or medication for less than 3 months (for the newly diagnosed group)
  • People who have been diagnosed with a form of glaucoma or high eye pressure and have been using eye pressure-lowering medication continuously for more than 1 year (for the long-term medication group)
  • People who have been diagnosed with glaucoma or high eye pressure in one eye only, where only that one eye is receiving treatment (for the unilateral group)

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with a history of serious eye injury, chemical burns to the eye, corneal ulcers, a severe skin and mucous membrane condition affecting the eyes (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), or a complication of bone marrow transplant that affects the eyes
  • People who have previously had surgery on the cornea, the white part of the eye surface, or surgery to drain fluid from the eye (including implanted drainage devices)
  • People who have an irregular eye surface or problems with the edge of the cornea caused by a condition other than glaucoma or dry eye disease
