Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had a COPD flare-up or worsening of symptoms within the past month
- People who are experiencing new or worsening chest pain that occurs while at rest
- People whose thinking or memory difficulties would prevent them from giving informed agreement to take part or from following the study steps
- People who have a non-COPD illness with a life expectancy of less than 6 months
- People who are currently living in a nursing home or assisted living facility
- People who are not able to take part in light physical activity such as walking, stretching, or gentle leg exercises
- People who are not able to speak or read English
