Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- People who have had a stroke (of any cause) within the last 3 months
- People who have mild to moderate thinking or memory difficulties following a stroke, affecting at least one area of mental function
- People whose score on a standard memory and thinking test (called the MoCA) is below 24 out of 30
- People who have been referred to the Occupational Therapy Unit at HCUCH for cognitive rehabilitation
Who may not be able to join:
- People with vision problems that would prevent them from wearing a virtual reality headset
- People with a language or communication difficulty after stroke (called aphasia) that would prevent them from completing the MoCA thinking and memory test
- People with a serious psychiatric condition, such as symptoms of psychosis or feeling detached from reality
- People with severe physical difficulties, specifically an inability to control their trunk or very limited strength in both arms (confirm with trial site for exact strength measurement criteria)
