Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 90 years old, of any gender
- People with a confirmed diagnosis of localised prostate cancer that a medical team has determined is suitable for robotic-assisted surgical removal of the prostate
- People with a confirmed diagnosis of a non-cancerous (benign) prostate condition that a medical team has determined is suitable for robotic-assisted prostate surgery
- The diagnosis must be confirmed before surgery through clinical assessment, imaging, or laboratory testing (such as a biopsy)
- People who do not currently have access to robotic surgery through their usual healthcare and who are scheduled to have robotic surgery as part of this study
- People who are willing to take part in the study
- People who are mentally able to understand and follow the study procedures
Who may not be able to join:
- People assessed by a surgical, anaesthetic, and medical team as being at too high a risk for robotic surgery — this includes those with uncontrolled heart, lung, or metabolic conditions
- People assessed as having a severe anaesthetic risk (classified as ASA Class IV or higher by their medical team) (confirm with trial site)
- People who are already enrolled in another interventional research study that could affect surgical safety or outcomes
- People who are unwilling or unable to follow the required schedule of appointments before and after surgery
- People under 18 years of age
- People who are in prison
- People who have cognitive impairment or who are not able to make their own informed decisions about participation
