Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are 40 years of age or older
• People who have been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in one breast, confirmed by laboratory testing of tissue or cell samples
• People who have had breast-conserving surgery (where only part of the breast is removed) along with a sentinel lymph node biopsy or axillary lymph node dissection, where the cancer was found to be at an early stage and the surgical margins (edges of removed tissue) were clear by at least 2mm

• People who have not previously had radiation therapy to the same side of the chest or breast being treated

Who may not be able to join:

• People who do not have a confirmed laboratory (pathology) diagnosis of breast cancer
• People whose surgical margins were positive (cancer cells at the edge) or very close (less than 2mm)
• People whose cancer has spread to the lymph nodes or to other parts of the body
• People who have had breast cancer in both breasts, or who have a history of cancer in the opposite breast
• People who have previously received radiation therapy to the same side of the chest or breast
• People who are pregnant (as confirmed by a blood or urine test) or who are currently breastfeeding
