Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are 40 years of age or older
  • People who have been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in one breast, confirmed by laboratory testing of tissue or cell samples

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who do not have a confirmed laboratory (pathology) diagnosis of breast cancer
  • People whose surgical margins were positive (cancer cells at the edge) or very close (less than 2mm)
  • People whose cancer has spread to the lymph nodes or to other parts of the body
  • People who have had breast cancer in both breasts, or who have a history of cancer in the opposite breast
  • People who have previously received radiation therapy to the same side of the chest or breast
  • People who are pregnant (as confirmed by a blood or urine test) or who are currently breastfeeding
