Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 45 and 80 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with a stroke at least 6 months ago

- People diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia
- People with a life expectancy of less than one year
- People who have had a blood clot in a vein (DVT) or in the lungs within the past 6 months
- People with severely high blood pressure that is above 200/110 mmHg while at rest
- People with a history of seizures, or who are currently taking medication to prevent seizures
- People who are already taking part in another rehabilitation trial aimed at improving physical or emotional recovery
