Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults who have been clinically diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer's Disease, specifically at stages 2 to 6a as measured by a standard assessment tool called the Functional Assessment Staging Test
- People whose ability to agree to take part in research has been assessed and confirmed by an experienced specialist doctor in older adult care
- People aged between 60 and 90 years old
- People who are able to give their agreement to take part with some assistance, where a family caregiver is present to witness and sign alongside them
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are not able to understand Chinese
- People who have been assessed as not having the mental capacity to agree to take part in research
- People who are unable to sit or remain still for 30 minutes
- People who do not have a family caregiver available to answer questionnaires on their behalf
- People with a dependence on alcohol or other substances
- People with major neurological conditions, including a brain tumour, a brain aneurysm, any metal implants in the brain, a bleeding disorder such as haemophilia, or a history of blood clots (thrombosis)
