- People who have a visual perception problem that would prevent them from completing the exercises correctly.
- People who have very high muscle stiffness or tension in the affected arm (scored above 2 on a standard medical scale) that would prevent them from completing the exercises.
- People whose score on a standard memory and thinking assessment (the Folstein Mini-Mental State Examination) falls below 22 out of 30 (confirm with trial site).
