Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have had a stroke affecting the middle cerebral artery (MCA) and are in the sub-acute stage (the recovery period shortly after the stroke)
- People between the ages of 40 and 65 years
- People of any gender (male or female)
- People whose walking ability scores below 19 on a standard walking assessment called the Dynamic Gait Index (DGI), meaning some difficulty with walking has been identified
- People with mild muscle stiffness (spasticity) rated at grade +1 or 1 on a standard medical scale called the Modified Ashworth Scale
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have difficulty communicating or understanding instructions
- People who have had a stroke alongside another neurological (brain or nervous system) condition
- People who have any other psychological or medical condition
