Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older who have been diagnosed with a chronic lung disease (such as COPD, IPF, certain types of scarring or inflammation of the lungs, or advanced sarcoidosis affecting the lungs) confirmed through chest scans and/or breathing tests, and who also have a specific type of high blood pressure in the lungs (called pre-capillary pulmonary hypertension), confirmed through a procedure that measures pressures in the heart and lungs.
- People who are willing and able to attend follow-up visits and be reachable by phone for the full length of the study.
- People who are able to take part in required tests, including tests done while walking or moving around.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have high blood pressure in the lungs that is not related to a chronic lung disease — for example, certain other types of pulmonary hypertension such as idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension, heart-related pulmonary hypertension, or chronic blood clot-related pulmonary hypertension (confirm with trial site if unsure which type applies).
- People who have a serious, uncontrolled illness affecting other parts of the body — such as uncontrolled heart disease or an active cancer — that could affect life expectancy.
- People who have previously had a lung or heart transplant.
