Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 to 85 years old
- People whose prostate cancer has been confirmed through a tissue or cell sample (biopsy or lab test)
- People whose prostate cancer falls into one of these categories: high-risk or very high-risk cancer that has not spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body; cancer that has spread to nearby lymph nodes but not to other parts of the body; or cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic), confirmed by scans
- People who are in good general health and are fully active or have only minor restrictions in physical activity (as measured by a standard medical scoring tool)
- People who are willing to sign a consent form and are able to attend treatment and follow-up appointments
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously received, or are currently receiving, any treatment for prostate cancer — including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or hormone therapy (androgen deprivation therapy)
- People who have previously had their prostate surgically removed (prostatectomy)
- People who have another serious medical, psychiatric, or psychological condition that the trial doctor believes could affect their participation or treatment
- People who have had an allergic reaction to any of the medications used in this study
- People who are unwilling to undergo surgical removal of the prostate (radical prostatectomy) as part of the trial
- People whom the trial doctor considers ineligible for any other reason (confirm with trial site)
