Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are already part of the BU-ADRC (Boston University Alzheimer's Disease Research Center) cohort
- People who have been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), mild Alzheimer's disease, or who have been classified as cognitively healthy by the BU-ADRC, with the relevant records available from within the last 2 years
- People between the ages of 50 and 90 (inclusive)
- People who are able to use a smartphone
- People who have a sufficient understanding of the English language
- People who are able and willing to follow the study procedures
- People who have signed an informed consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a neurological condition (other than MCI or Alzheimer's disease) that may be affecting their thinking or memory
- People who have a psychiatric diagnosis or symptoms — such as hallucinations, major depression, or delusions — that could interfere with taking part in the study
- People who have had a stroke or seizures within the last 24 months
- People whose score on a standardised depression screening tool (the Geriatric Depression Scale) is 8 or higher
- People who have a severe vision or hearing impairment that would make it difficult to complete the cognitive assessments used in the study
- People who are known or suspected to be unlikely to follow study requirements
