Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women aged 18 years or older
- People with an expected survival of at least 12 weeks
- People with a good general level of physical functioning (a standard medical score of 0 or 1 on a scale used to measure daily activity ability)
- People whose breast cancer has come back or spread to other parts of the body, confirmed by a tissue test, and where surgery to cure the disease is not possible
- People whose breast cancer tests positive for hormone receptors (estrogen and/or progesterone) and negative for a protein called HER2
- People who have at least one area of cancer that can be measured on a scan, or cancer that has spread only to the bones in a way that shows bone breakdown
- People who have previously received no more than 2 courses of chemotherapy for advanced disease, and no more than 2 treatments from a specific class of cancer drugs called CDK4/6 inhibitors
- People whose liver, kidneys, and other organs are working well enough to safely participate (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- People whose cancer has spread to the brain or central nervous system
