Who might be able to join this trial:
- People of any gender, aged 18 or older
- People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of early-stage breast cancer (hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative) that has been surgically removed, and whose doctors have recommended a type of medication called a CDK4/6 inhibitor (either abemaciclib or ribociclib) after surgery
- People whose tumour testing shows specific hormone receptor levels and HER2 protein levels within defined ranges, as measured by laboratory tests according to standard guidelines (confirm with trial site)
- People who are starting or have already started treatment with abemaciclib or ribociclib combined with hormone-blocking therapy, where that treatment began on or after 1 January 2021
- People with a general health and activity level rated at 2 or below on a standard medical scale (meaning they are able to care for themselves, even if not able to do all physical activity)
- People who agree to allow their personal data to be used according to local privacy rules
Who may not be able to join:
- People currently taking part in another clinical study specifically for the same type of breast cancer (hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative early breast cancer) involving experimental treatments
- People who have previously received a CDK4/6 inhibitor as part of a clinical trial (as opposed to standard medical care)
- People who are unable to follow the requirements of the study, or whom the study doctor considers unsuitable for inclusion
- People with a history of a previous breast cancer diagnosis, unless it was a very early, non-invasive type (called DCIS) that was treated with local therapy only, and that treatment was completed at least 5 years ago
- People with a history of any other type of cancer (other than certain common skin cancers or early-stage cervical changes), unless they have been in full remission with no cancer treatment for at least 5 years
