- You have been diagnosed with ALS (possible, probable, or definite) or with definite Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS), as confirmed by your neurologist
- You experience jaw pain that you would rate at least a 3 out of 10 on a pain scale
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a history of cancer in the head or neck area
- You have had a stroke in the past
- You have had surgery on your face in the past that left metal hardware (such as plates or screws) in place
- You have a pacemaker
- Your doctor has diagnosed you with significant memory or thinking problems
- You have a history of seizures or have been diagnosed with epilepsy
- You have an open wound or broken skin in the area where electrode pads would be placed on your skin
- You have completely lost feeling/sensation in the area where electrode pads would be placed on your skin
