Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with anorexia nervosa (an eating disorder involving severely restricted eating and low body weight)
- People who speak English
- People who are considered mentally stable enough to receive care outside of a hospital or residential setting
- People who live with at least one parent or caregiver
- People whose body weight is at or below 90% of what would be expected for someone of their age and size
- People between the ages of 14 and 17 (inclusive)
Who may not be able to join:
- People younger than 14 or older than 17 years old
- People who are currently seeing a psychotherapist and are not willing to pause that treatment for the length of the study
- People who have a diagnosis of bulimia nervosa or binge-eating disorder
- People who are currently at acute risk of suicide
- People who are pregnant
- People who meet the clinical criteria for a psychotic disorder and/or have an intellectual disability
- People who do not speak English
