- You have hip and groin pain and have been diagnosed with hip osteoarthritis (wear and tear of the hip joint) confirmed by an X-ray.
- You have had hip pain rated above 5 out of 10 on a pain scale for more than 6 weeks.
- Your pain has not been adequately relieved by standard treatments such as painkillers or physical therapy.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with a pinched nerve in your lower back, spinal back pain, sacroiliac joint problems, or a connective tissue disease (such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis).
- You are unable to attend follow-up appointments regularly or cannot be contacted by phone.
- After receiving the initial treatment as part of the trial, you started taking additional pain medications or had additional procedures done to manage your pain.
