Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Adults aged 18 or older.
  • People who have been diagnosed with locally advanced, inoperable, or metastatic (spread to other parts of the body) breast cancer. People with high-risk HER-2 positive breast cancer who have finished pre-surgery chemotherapy and whose doctor determines they need a specific follow-up treatment (Enhertu) may also be considered.
  • People who have already received 3 or 4 rounds of a treatment called Enhertu, and whose doctor expects them to continue that treatment for at least another 12 weeks. (Being on additional HER-2 targeted treatments alongside Enhertu is also permitted.)
  • People who are able and willing to take part in guided aerobic exercise (such as walking or cycling) and resistance exercise (such as weights or body-weight exercises) as part of the trial.
  • People who are currently following the standard contraception (birth control) requirements for their treatment, and who are willing to continue doing so for the full length of the trial.
  • People who are able to understand the study information and are willing to sign a consent form that meets required guidelines.
  • People who, in the opinion of the trial doctor, are experiencing noticeable fatigue (tiredness) related to their condition or treatment.
  • People who have completed a standard exercise health screening process and are considered fit to participate in the study by the trial doctor.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are already meeting national physical activity guidelines for both resistance training and aerobic exercise — meaning they are already doing structured resistance training (using weights, bands, or body weight, such as squats or push-ups) on 2 or more days per week, AND already doing 150 or more minutes per week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity (activity where a person can talk but not sing, such as walking, swimming, or cycling).
  • People who have medical, mental health, cognitive, or other conditions that may make it difficult to understand the study information, give informed consent, or follow the study requirements fully.
  • People who are taking certain medications that are not permitted in this trial (confirm specific medications with the trial site).
