Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are a male between the ages of 18 and 35
• You have been diagnosed by a doctor with male-pattern baldness (androgenic alopecia) at a moderate to moderately severe level (Hamilton Norwood Scale III–V)

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a known allergy to alcohol
• You have serious health conditions affecting your heart, blood vessels, brain, liver, kidneys, hormones, or blood
• You have other conditions affecting your scalp or other types of hair loss beyond male-pattern baldness
• You have a severe mental illness or significant problems with memory or thinking
• You have poor nutrition or a weakened immune system
• You have taken certain medications in the past year, including steroids taken by mouth or injection, immune-suppressing drugs, chemotherapy drugs, or drugs that widen blood vessels (confirm with trial site)
• You have used any treatments for hair loss — taken by mouth or applied to the scalp, such as finasteride or minoxidil — within the last 6 months
• You have taken part in another clinical trial and received an experimental treatment within the last 3 months
• You have a family history of genetic conditions, or the research team decides for other reasons that you are not a suitable candidate (confirm with trial site)
