Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are able to speak English fluently
- You have been diagnosed with Binge Eating Disorder (BED) according to current medical guidelines, meaning it has been present in the past three months
- You are willing and able to take part in the full study from start to finish
Who may not be able to join:
- Your body weight falls into the underweight range (a BMI below 18.5)
- You need immediate medical treatment right now due to health complications
- You currently have anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa, or have had purging behaviors (such as self-induced vomiting or misuse of laxatives) in the past year
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have another serious mental health or physical health condition that could make it difficult to take part in the study — for example, active thoughts of suicide, an active psychotic disorder, bipolar disorder that is not managed with medication, a severe substance use problem, or cancer
- You are currently receiving any treatment specifically for binge eating disorder or for weight loss (treatment for other conditions is generally allowed, as long as it does not involve mindfulness-based approaches — confirm with trial site)
- You are currently taking medication for weight loss, or you started a medication that affects your eating or weight within the last six months
