Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are willing and able to take part in all parts of the study, in the opinion of the study doctor
- You have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, confirmed by a spinal fluid test or a special brain scan (called a PET scan) that was done within the last 7 years
- You have mild memory and thinking problems, or dementia, caused by Alzheimer's disease
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a type of dementia that is not caused by Alzheimer's disease
- Your liver enzyme levels (called ALT or AST) are more than twice the normal upper limit, as shown in a blood test (confirm with trial site)
- Your bilirubin level (a substance produced by the liver) is more than one and a half times the normal upper limit, as shown in a blood test (confirm with trial site)
- You have a known HIV infection
- You have a history of hepatitis C, or you currently have hepatitis B
- Your blood pressure is too high (above 160/100) after resting for 10 minutes at your screening visit
- Your kidneys are not filtering blood well enough, based on a specific kidney function measurement taken at your screening visit (confirm with trial site)
- You have significant heart rhythm or electrical problems shown on a heart tracing (ECG) at your screening visit
- You have a mental health condition that is not well controlled, including being at significant risk of suicide, severe depression, psychosis, severe confusion, or violent behavior
- You have a long-term condition that causes problems with bleeding or blood clotting
- You have a history of brain or spinal disease that could interfere with injections into the spine or spinal fluid procedures (confirm with trial site)
- You have had uncontrolled seizures within the 6 months before your screening visit
