Who may be able to join

AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with high-grade serous ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer, confirmed by a tissue sample analysis.
  • People whose cancer has stopped responding to platinum-based chemotherapy (known as platinum-resistant disease), with specific timing requirements depending on how many rounds of platinum-based treatment have been received (confirm with trial site).
  • People who have stored tumour tissue samples (no older than 5 years) available, or who are willing to have a tumour biopsy taken before the trial starts if no stored sample is available.
  • People who have received at least 1 but no more than 4 prior rounds of systemic (whole-body) cancer treatment since their initial diagnosis, where a single chemotherapy drug would now be considered an appropriate next step.
  • People who have previously been treated with a drug called bevacizumab, unless there was a medical reason this was not suitable.
  • People whose tumour tests positive for a protein called FRα who have previously been treated with a drug called mirvetuximab soravtansine, unless there was a medical reason this was not suitable.
  • People whose cancer can be measured on scans, according to standard measurement guidelines.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose cancer is a specific type, including endometrioid, clear cell, mucinous, or sarcomatous ovarian cancer, mixed tumours containing any of these types, or low-grade/borderline ovarian cancer.
  • People whose cancer never responded to platinum-based chemotherapy from the very first treatment (progressing during or within 3 months of first-line platinum therapy).
  • People who have had significant or uncontrolled heart problems within the 6 months before the trial would begin.
  • People with known active cancer that has spread to the brain or the membranes surrounding the brain or spinal cord.
  • People with another cancer that is currently growing or being actively treated, or who have had a separate cancer diagnosis within the past 3 years.
  • People with significant digestive system (gastrointestinal) problems.
