Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older (male or female)
- You have been diagnosed with stomach cancer, esophageal cancer, or cancer at the junction of the stomach and esophagus, and are currently being assessed to plan your treatment
- You are reasonably active and able to care for yourself, with only limited restrictions on physical activity (confirm with trial site)
- You are willing and able to sign a consent form before any study procedures begin
- You have had, or are scheduled to have, a contrast-enhanced CT scan of your chest, stomach area, and pelvis within 21 days before or after receiving the study imaging agent
- If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must agree to use a highly effective form of birth control during the trial (such as hormonal implants, combined contraceptive pills, or having a vasectomized partner)
Who may not be able to join:
- Your cancer has clearly already spread to other parts of the body in a way that rules out surgery as a treatment option
- You have a known allergy or sensitivity to the study imaging agent [¹⁸F]FAPI-74
- You have taken part in another clinical trial involving an experimental drug or diagnostic product within the last 30 days
- You have received a radioactive medical treatment or imaging agent recently and it has not been long enough since your last dose (confirm with trial site)
- You have had a previous cancer diagnosis, unless it was a minor skin cancer or early-stage cervical/uterine cancer — or unless you were treated with the intention of curing it and have been cancer-free for more than 5 years
- Your liver is not functioning well enough, based on specific blood test results (confirm with trial site)
- Your kidneys are not functioning well enough, based on a specific measure of kidney filtration (confirm with trial site)
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding — a pregnancy test will be required if there is any chance you could be pregnant
- You are unable to lie still or complete the PET/CT scan procedure
- You have inflammatory bowel disease, such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis
- You have a condition called sarcoidosis
- You have already started treatment (such as chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, or surgery) aimed at curing your stomach or esophageal cancer
