  • People who have had an ischemic stroke (caused by a blockage) or a hemorrhagic stroke (caused by bleeding), confirmed by a CT scan, MRI, or medical assessment

  • People with severe stiffness or limited movement in their joints that would prevent testing
  • People with severe muscle tightness or joint tightening that would prevent testing

  • People with severe difficulty speaking or understanding language (severe aphasia)
  • People with any other serious medical condition that could significantly affect the study results
  • People for whom reliable nerve and muscle response signals cannot be recorded during testing
  • People who are pregnant or actively trying to become pregnant
  • People with a recent history of repeated fainting or blackout episodes
  • People with a recent history of seizures that occurred while already taking anti-seizure medication
  • People with a recent history of a skull fracture or serious head injury
  • People who have metal implants in their skull
  • People who have a cardiac pacemaker
