Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are either in good general health, or you have been diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome
  • You are able to understand and agree to participate by giving your consent
  • You are able to follow the bowel preparation instructions (the process of clearing your bowel before a procedure)
  • You either had a colonoscopy in the past 0–24 months that came back normal, OR you have no bowel or lower digestive symptoms and no known lower digestive problems, and you sign up through Rally

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are 76 years of age or older
  • You have or have had a narrowing of the colon or anal area (confirm with trial site)
  • You currently have a condition that affects your blood's ability to clot
  • You currently take medications that affect blood clotting (not including low-dose aspirin)
  • You have ever been diagnosed with, or currently have, colorectal cancer
  • You have or have had diverticulosis or diverticulitis (small pouches in the colon that are inflamed or infected)
  • You have had any previous surgery on the rectum, colon, or anal area
  • You have a history of a twisted or turned bowel (volvulus)
  • You are currently pregnant
  • You have any medical reason why bowel preparation or a colonoscopy would not be safe for you (confirm with trial site)
  • You have severe active inflammatory bowel disease
  • You have large hemorrhoids, hemorrhoid bleeding, or have had hemorrhoid banding
