Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are willing and able to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part in the study
• You are at least 18 years old
• You either have been told by a doctor that you have ME/CFS (a condition also known as chronic fatigue syndrome), OR you are a healthy person with no history of ME/CFS or similar long-term illness linked to infections

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a long-term blood condition called chronic anemia where your hemoglobin (a measure of red blood cells) is very low (below 9 g/dL), either by your own report or confirmed by a doctor
• You are known to have HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C
• You have been diagnosed with another long-term condition linked to an infection — such as chronic Lyme disease or post-Ebola syndrome — other than ME/CFS or Long COVID
• You have a serious physical or mental health condition that, in the study team's judgement, would make it difficult for you to follow the study requirements or to properly consent to taking part
• You have a current drug or alcohol problem that, in the study team's judgement, would make it difficult for you to follow the study requirements or to properly consent to taking part
