- People who are seeking cancer screening navigation services through a program at one of the two participating centres: Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center or Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute
- People who are due for both breast cancer screening and colorectal cancer screening, based on guidelines from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF)
- People who are female
- People aged 45 to 74
- People who identify as Black/African American and/or Hispanic/Latina/Latine
- People who speak English or Spanish well enough to take part in study activities
- People who are willing and available to take part in all study activities — including navigation sessions and surveys — for the full length of the study
- People who are able to provide their own electronic consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are not currently using or planning to use navigation programs at the two participating centres listed above
- People who are not due for breast cancer screening or colorectal cancer screening based on USPSTF guidelines
- People who have a personal history of breast cancer and/or colorectal cancer, or who are currently experiencing symptoms that may be related to these cancers (such as gastrointestinal bleeding or a breast lump)
- People who are male, intersex, or of another sex
- People who are under 45 or over 74 years of age
- People who do not identify as Black/African American or Hispanic/Latina/Latine
- People who do not speak English or Spanish with enough fluency to complete study activities
- People who are unwilling or unable to commit to taking part in all study activities for the full duration of the study
- People who are unable to provide their own electronic consent, or who would need another person to provide consent on their behalf
