Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have had an ischemic (blocked blood vessel) or haemorrhagic (bleeding) stroke
- People whose stroke affected the right side of the brain
- People whose stroke occurred more than 7 days ago but less than 1 year ago
- People between 18 and 75 years of age
- People who score 24 or higher on a standard short memory and thinking test called the Mini Mental Test
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had more than one stroke in the past
- People who have vision or hearing problems
- People who are currently taking medication that affects memory or thinking
- People with a history of epilepsy
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have a history of cancer
- People who have a pacemaker
- People who have any metal implants in the brain or scalp, including cochlear implants
- People who had dementia before their stroke occurred
- People who have a psychiatric condition or another neurological (brain or nervous system) condition
