Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults who are female and between 18 and 75 years old.
- People whose general health and ability to carry out daily activities meets a recognised medical scoring standard (a score of 2 or lower on the ECOG scale, which means the person is reasonably active and able to care for themselves).
- People whose blood test results — including haemoglobin, white blood cells, neutrophils, and platelets — are within or close to the normal range, and whose kidney and liver function results are also acceptable.

- People with a specific advanced stage of ovarian cancer (FIGO stage IVA) involving fluid around the lungs or certain lymph node or splenic spread, where chemotherapy given before surgery has produced a response — in these cases, the surgical treatment (CRS + HIPEC) may be considered afterwards.
- People whose case has been reviewed by a multidisciplinary medical team, which has assessed the extent of disease and estimated that complete surgical removal is likely to be achievable.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have not given their consent to take part in the trial.
- People whose general health or activity level falls below the required threshold (an ECOG score above 2, meaning significant limitation in daily activity).
- People who are not considered suitable to undergo major surgery.
- People whose cancer has spread beyond the abdomen, or where medical findings suggest that complete surgical removal would not be achievable — for example, if there is blockage of the bowel, bile ducts, or ureters, or widespread involvement of the small bowel or its surrounding tissue.
- People with a known allergy or sensitivity to platinum-based chemotherapy drugs.
