Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 85 years old
- You have lower back pain and/or leg pain caused by a narrowing of the spinal canal in your lower back (called lumbar spinal stenosis)
- An MRI scan of your lower back has shown spinal canal narrowing in at least one area that matches your symptoms
- You are willing to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 35 or higher (a measure of body weight relative to height)
- Your pain is caused by a slipped disc in your lower back pressing on a nerve
- Your lower back pain is caused by problems with the small joints of the spine, the joint connecting your spine to your pelvis, or pain coming from the discs themselves
- You have had surgery on your lower back before
- You have been diagnosed with an intellectual disability
- You have a significant mental health condition
- You were born with an abnormality affecting the shape or structure of your spine
- You have an inflammatory joint disease such as ankylosing spondylitis or a condition called DISH, which cause bone spurs and hardening of ligaments (confirm with trial site)
- You are pregnant
- You have heart failure
