Who might be able to join this trial:
This trial has three separate groups. People may be considered for one of the following groups:
COPD Group:
- People who are older than 40 years of age
- People who have been diagnosed with COPD (a chronic lung condition)
- People whose COPD is currently in a stable condition
- People who are willing to take part in the study
PRISm Group (a breathing pattern found on lung function testing):
- People who are older than 40 years of age
- People who have been diagnosed with PRISm (confirm with trial site for full details on this diagnosis)
- People who are willing to take part in the study
Healthy Control Group:
- People who are older than 40 years of age
- People who are willing to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
COPD Group — people may not be eligible if they:
- Have severe bone, nerve, or heart conditions
- Are currently experiencing a COPD flare-up or worsening episode
- Have another lung disease alongside their COPD
- Are on medications that are not yet stabilised
PRISm Group — people may not be eligible if they:
- Have also been diagnosed with COPD
- Have severe bone, nerve, or heart conditions
- Have another lung disease alongside their PRISm diagnosis
Healthy Control Group — people may not be eligible if they:
- Have any known ongoing (chronic) health condition
