Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are between 50 and 99 years old
  • You are any gender
  • You are able to understand spoken instructions in English (British or American), Chinese, or Bahasa Melayu, and can show that you can use the device
  • You are able to turn on a computer and connect a webcam by yourself or with help from a family member
  • You are currently receiving treatment for Wet AMD (a type of age-related macular degeneration) and are not showing signs that it is coming back or getting worse (confirm with trial site)
  • You are willing and able to follow the study plan as the trial team requires
  • You are able to understand and sign a consent form before taking part

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are unable to understand spoken instructions or cannot demonstrate how to use the device
  • You are unable to turn on a computer and connect a webcam, even with family help
  • You have had eye surgery in the last 3 months, or a specific type of eye surgery called a vitrectomy in the last 12 months
  • You have a history of any other eye condition affecting the central part of your eye (the macula) that is not related to AMD
  • You have any other eye condition in the eye being studied that could affect your vision or might need treatment during the trial (confirm with trial site)
  • You have had any previous or current treatment for certain eye vessel or eye surface problems in the eye being studied (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a history of eye inflammation linked to your immune system in either eye
  • You currently have active eye inflammation or a suspected or active infection in or around either eye
