Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are 18 years of age or older at the time of signing the consent form
  • People who have been diagnosed with chronic atopic dermatitis (a long-term skin condition with inflammation and itching) for at least 1 year before joining the study
  • People whose atopic dermatitis is rated as moderately severe or worse by a doctor using a standard assessment scale (vIGA score of 3 or higher) at both the screening and baseline visits
  • People whose eczema is scored at 16 or higher on a standard measurement of how much of the body is affected and how severe the symptoms are (EASI score), at both the screening and baseline visits
  • People whose itch is rated at 4 or higher out of 10 on a standard itch scale at both the screening and baseline visits
  • People whose atopic dermatitis covers at least 10% of their body surface area at both the screening and baseline visits
  • People who have tried skin-applied (topical) treatments in the 6 months before screening and did not get enough relief, or for whom topical treatments are not medically suitable and who are considered candidates for treatments that work throughout the whole body (systemic therapy)

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have any medical or mental health condition, physical finding, abnormal lab result, or heart test result that the trial doctor believes could pose a risk during the study or affect how results are interpreted
  • People who have another active skin condition that could be confused with atopic dermatitis or make it harder to assess treatment results — examples include scabies, seborrheic dermatitis, cutaneous lymphoma, ichthyosis, psoriasis, or active contact dermatitis
  • People who have a personal or close family history (parent, sibling, or child) of inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis
  • People who have a history of ongoing or frequently recurring infections, or who have had a serious or life-threatening infection (including shingles) within the 6 months before the baseline visit
  • People who meet certain criteria related to tuberculosis (TB) — confirm specific details with the trial site
  • People who have previously been treated with a medicine called galvokimig (the medicine being studied in this trial)
  • People who had a significant safety reaction to certain targeted medicines used for atopic dermatitis (dupilumab, tralokinumab, or lebrikizumab) that led to stopping that treatment
  • People who have not stopped all non-biologic systemic and topical atopic dermatitis treatments at least 4 weeks before the baseline visit
  • People who have not stopped biologic medicines (a type of advanced treatment) at least 3 months before the baseline visit
