Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged between 55 and 90 years (inclusive) who are able to move around on their own, with a walker, or with a wheelchair.
- People who have already been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease (AD) dementia.
- People who are experiencing moderate to severe agitation (such as restlessness or distress) at the time of screening and have been experiencing it for at least 2 weeks before the study begins.
- People whose agitation meets a specific definition set by an international medical organisation called the International Psychogeriatric Association (confirm with trial site).
- People who have a caregiver who is willing and able to follow all study requirements and who spends time with the participant on at least four separate days per week for at least two hours each day.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose primary dementia diagnosis is a type of dementia other than Alzheimer's disease.
- People whose agitation is caused by something other than Alzheimer's disease.
- People who have a history of uncontrolled seizures or epilepsy.
- People who have a serious or unstable medical condition.
