Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 60 years old at the time of signing the consent form
- You were previously diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS), a form of MS with flare-ups and periods of recovery
- You now have a diagnosis of secondary progressive MS (SPMS), a stage where MS gradually worsens over time
- Your doctor has documented evidence that your disability has been getting worse over the past 24 months, unrelated to any MS flare-ups, and this must be reviewed and agreed upon by the trial team
- You have not had any MS relapses (flare-ups) for at least the past 24 months
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with primary progressive MS (PPMS), a different form of MS that progresses from the start
- You have another immune system disorder besides MS, or any condition that requires regular steroid treatment
- You have or have had another neurological (brain or nerve) condition that could look similar to MS
- You have or have had a serious brain infection called progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) (confirm with trial site)
- You currently have an active and significant infection caused by a virus, bacteria, or fungus
- You have a history of, or currently have, another serious medical condition
- You have had any suicidal behaviour in the 6 months before the screening visit
- You have ever had cancer of any kind
- You are currently taking blood-thinning or anti-clotting medications
- You have taken certain medications that strongly affect how the body processes drugs (called CYP3A inhibitors or inducers) within the past 14 days (confirm with trial site)
- Your blood test or lab results showed significant abnormalities at your screening visit
- You received a live virus vaccine within 1 month before your screening visit
- You have had alcohol misuse or drug abuse issues within the past 12 months
