Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis that causes symptoms, for at least 3 months.

Who may not be able to join:

- People with heart or cardiovascular conditions for which exercise has been formally advised against by a doctor.
- People with an infected wound or bone infection in or around the knee.
- People with deep vein thrombosis (a blood clot in a vein) or thrombophlebitis (inflammation of a vein due to a clot).
- People who have altered or reduced sensation in their lower limbs.
- People with cognitive (thinking or memory) or heart and lung conditions that would make safe participation in an exercise program difficult.
- People who use walking aids.
- People who have had a recent knee injury.
